Drum seeder-Low cost method of planting in paddy

The drum seeder is one of the successful low cost and labour saving method of planting paddy in Thiruvannamalai district. The TNBRD has taken all the methods in popularizing this technology for the benefit of farmers of the district along with Department of agriculture, Agricultural experts of various departments and scientist from KVK. The detailed study reveals that the average seed cost, labour and the crop duration have been minimized considerably by following the drum seeder technology.
